Without health for all the people, there will be no well-off society in all respects.As a common malignant tumor, gastrointestinal cancer is a serious threat to human health and an important cause of poverty.The prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal cancer is a major public health problem to be solved urgently.It is a feasible and efficient way to change the severe situation of gastrointestinal cancer diagnosis and treatment in China through carrying out early screening of gastrointestinal cancer and endoscopic examination in high-risk population.Combined application of fecal detection, anal examination, gastrointestinal endoscopy and treatment, serological tumor markers detection, diagnostic techniques of molecular biology and imaging diagnosis technology is an effective means to realize the early detection and treatment of gastrointestinal cancer.The concept of prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal cancer will be transformed from "treatment-centered" to "health-centered" , and active prediction and early detection will be the main direction of medical development in the future.
