Abstract:
Objective To explore the effects of esophageal variceal ligation on hepatic function grading and clinical indexes in senile cirrhosis hemorrhage complicated with portal vein thrombosis.
Methods A total of 42 cases of esophageal varices hemorrhage associated with portal vein thrombosis caused by liver cirrhosis in Ruijin Hospital North Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine from January 2013 to January 2018 were analyzed retrospectively. The changes of the relevant laboratory test values and Child grading which before and after the treatment of esophageal variceal ligation were compared.
Results Although the values of pro-ALB, AST, ALB, TBIL, Scr, WBC, Hb, PLT, PTand INR were slightly changed before and after treatment, there were no statistically significant differences. It was suggested that the results of biochemical tests, blood testsand coagulation function tests had no obvious changes before and after treatment. The Child grading had no obvious change before and after treatment(19 cases were of grade A, 19 cases were of grade B, 4 cases were of grade C before treatment and 19 cases were of grade A, 22 cases were of grade B, 1 case was of grade C after treatment).
Conclusion Esophageal variceal ligation in the treatment of senile cirrhosis hemorrhage complicated with portal vein thrombosis has a good short-term hemostasis effect, which is safe, tolerable, and has little effect on liver function and coagulation function.
