Application research of knowledge-belief-practice model in patients with functional gastrointestinal diseases

Abstract:

Objective

To analyze the intervention effect of knowledge-belief-practice model on health education of patients with functional gastrointestinal diseases.

Methods

A total of 120 patients with functional gastrointestinal diseases were selected from February 2017 to February 2018 in Department of Gastroenterology, No.163 Hospital of PLA by using cluster sampling.All the patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group.The control group was given routine medical care, while the observation group was given intervention through health education path of knowledge-belief-practice mode.

Results

There was no significant difference in quality of life index, clinical cure rate, anxiety and depression between the two groups before the intervention(P>0.05). After the intervention, the above indexes of the two groups were improved, and the improvement range of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).

Conclusion

The application of knowledge-belief-practice model can effectively improve the quality of life index, clinical cure rate, anxiety and depression of patients with functional gastrointestinal diseases.
