Image diagnosis of omental tumor: a comparative study of 64-slice spiral CT and ultrasound

Objective

To compare the diagnostic value of 64-slice spiral CT scan and ultrasound in omental tumor.

Methods

Twenty-four patients with omental tumor confirmed by pathology in Hongqi Hospital of Mudanjiang Medical College from 2007 to 2018 were selected for retrospective analysis. Their 64-slice spiral CT scans and 3D reconstruction images, ultrasonic manifestations and pathological results were compared.

Results

The 64-slice spiral CT examination can better show the size, location, structure and adjacent relationship of the omental tumor, and it has higher specificity, sensitivity and accuracy than ultrasound.

Conclusion

64-slice spiral CT is of great significance for the preoperative diagnosis and postoperative evaluation of omental tumors.
