Abstract:

Objective

To explore the application of reducing the dose of contrast agent under low radiation dose scanning in pulmonary vein and left atrium angiography.

Methods

A total of 80 patients with left atrium and pulmonary vein angiography in the 960th Hospital of the PLA were selected and divided into control group(tube voltage 120 kV, contrast agent 70 ml)and experimental group(tube voltage 80 kV, contrast agent 40 ml). The image quality of the two groups was evaluated by subjective evaluation and objective evaluation.

Results

Subjective evaluation: The image quality of both groups met the diagnostic requirements. There was no statistically significant difference. Objective evaluation: There were statistically significant differences in the CT values, signal noise ratio, computed tomography dose index, dose-length product, effective dose measured by the scanning scheme between the control group and the experimental group.

Conclusion

Low-tube voltage scanning combined with low-dose angiography can not only ensure image diagnosis but also effectively reduce the dose of contrast agent and radiation in the examination of pulmonary vein and left atrium.
