Abstract:

Objective

To explore the application value of endoscopic ultrasonography-guided fine needle aspiration(EUS-FNA)in pancreatic space-occupying lesions.

Methods

A retrospective analysis was performed on 82 patients with pancreatic space-occupying lesions diagnosed by imaging examination(abdominal B-ultrasound, CT, MRI)and underwent EUS-FNA in Northern Jiangsu People′s Hospital from September 2, 2017 to October 2, 2020.The sensitivity, accuracy and specificity of EUS-FNA for pancreatic space-occupying lesions were statistically analyzed.

Results

In 82 patients with pancreatic space puncture, the diagnostic accuracy of EUS-FNA was 90.2%, the specificity was 100%, and the sensitivity was 88.2%.The diagnostic accuracy of lesions>2 cm was significantly higher than that of lesions≤2 cm, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).

Conclusion

The EUS-FNA in the diagnosis of pancreatic space-occupying lesions has high sensitivity and specificity, and it has important value for the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. The diagnostic accuracy and sensitivity of EUS-FNA are positively correlated with the size of the pancreatic masses.
