Abstract:

Objective

To confirm the eradication of Helicobacter pylori(Hp)can make blood lipids to normal level and find a new method for the treatment of atherosclerosis by analyzing the changes of blood lipids in 128 patients before and after the eradication of Hp.

Methods

The changes of blood lipids in 128 patients with Hp infection before and after eradication of Hp from January 2014 to January 2018 were retrospectively analyzed in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region People′s Hospital.

Results

Low density lipoprotein [(2.18±0.60)mmol/L vs.(3.12±0.65)mmol/L]and triglyceride [(1.23±0.51)mmol/L vs.(1.91±0.63)mmol/L]levels were significantly lower after Hp eradication than before treatment(P<0.05), while there were no statistically significant differences in very low-density lipoprotein [(0.57±0.25)mmol/L vs.(0.60±0.27)mmol/L], high-density lipoprotein [(1.13±0.28)mmol/L vs.(1.24±0.32)mmol/L]and total cholesterol [(4.30±0.85)mmol/L vs.(4.16±0.89)mmol/L]levels after Hp eradication(P>0.05).

Conclusion

Eradication of Hp can improve the blood lipid level of patients to a certain extent.
