Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effect of dexmedetomidine combined with remifentanil on anesthesia in elderly patients undergoing endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP).
Methods A total of 62 elderly patients with common bile duct stones who were expected to receive ERCP treatment in Changzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April 2021 to April 2022 were selected and divided into control group(31 cases, propofol combined with remifentanil anesthesia)and observation group(31 cases, dexmedetomidine combined with remifentanil anesthesia)according to the random number table method. The indexes of the two groups were observed and compared.
Results The observation group had shorter time to leave the operating room, awake time, wake-up time and operation time. The SBP, DBP and HR levels in the two groups during operation were higher than those before operation, and those in the control group were higher than those in the observation group. The RR level in both groups decreased during operation, and that in the control group was lower than that in the observation group.Compared with that before operation, the pain scores of the two groups decreased in turn 6-12 hours after operation, and the scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group. The sedation scores of the two groups increased at 6 h and 12 h after operation, and the scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, P<0.05, with a statistically significant difference.
Conclusion The application of dexmedetomidine combined with remifentanil in elderly patients undergoing ERCP can effectively relieve pain, improve sedative effect, and stabilize vital signs.
